According to Mobile ad network InMobi, total ad impressions on its system in North America increased 17 percent from January to April. 37 percent of the growth came from from smartphones, which now make up 80 percent of all mobile ads in North America, Media Post reported.
Mobile in-app ads boosted 58 percent during the first quarter; Smartphones is the main contributor, AppScout reported.
Android in April topped with the largest share of impressions on the InMobi network, with 37 percent. iPhone followed with 33 percent, while BlackBerry OS on the third spot with 10.3 percent, Telecom Paper reported.
