The global household penetration of IPTV is just 3.9 percent in 2012, and is projected to almost double to 7.3 percent by 2016. Other countries with the largest IPTV households after China include the United States, 9.3 million; France, 8.7 million; and Japan, 3.6 million.
The data set is a part of a collection of 500 revenue and usership trends in mobile, social, Internet, tablet, video and other digital categories, published in the 200-page Global Digital Media Trendbook 2013.
