Mobile phones continue to rule for access to the Internet, compared to tablet access. However, some countries studied by GlobalWebIndex in 2014 have high penetrations of tablet access to the Internet, and are growing in the double digits. For example, in China, more than 80 percent of adult Internet users access the Web via mobile, while almost half as many do so on their tablets. Almost half as many tablet users access the Internet via tablet than those who access via mobile in Mexico, Singapore, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
