YouTube persona ‘True Geordie’ has replied to the social media storm caused by the leak of explicit personal messages from his Instagram account, speaking that it was only “two
adults messaging each other”.
The Toon supporting blogger, whose real name is
Brian Davis, was trending on Twitter after screenshots claiming to be messages from him were published on-line.
The content of the personal Instagram messages is just too explicit to
publish and also the posts
sparked large reaction on-line.
Now Davis, from Newcastle, has broken his silence in his latest YouTube
video, known as ‘True
Geordie responds’.
In it he says: “Sometimes you only go down a road, dirty
messages flying back and forth. You see if you can out-do each
other.”
He added: “It’s simply fantasy speak.”
After Davis is taunted by his fellow guests on
the show, who cite his
“DM [direct message scandal”, he added: “It was simply 2 adults messaging one another.”
Davis is thought for ranting concerning Newcastle United on his blogs and
has over 1.6m subscribers to his YouTube
channel.
He hosts variety of podcasts concerning football and
sport.
After the leak, Northumbria Police urged social media users to make positive their devices are secure.
A representative for
the force said: “We would
like to inform everybody to make sure their
devices are invariably kept secure and that passwords are kept
safe and personal.
